Since opening the doors of our salon in 2014, grow has been proud to be a member of the Knoxville community. Besides providing our clients with amazing skincare, hair design, and hair color services, our passion is supporting and promoting all things local.
Every product we use and business we support shares the same core beliefs: sustainability, quality, and community. We’re excited to partner with an amazing local business, Family Tree Candle Company, to support an incredible local nonprofit organization, The Butterfly Fund of East TN.

Here at grow, we are a green salon, meaning we recycle and reuse everything, down to our hair clippings! Family Tree Candle Company is a local Knoxville business that shares our passion for sustainability.
Family Tree Candle Company hand pours their candles using the highest quality soy wax and cotton wicks. Their aromatic scent oils are infused with essential oils, giving you a healthy scent experience plus a smooth, clean burn. We collaborated to create a special unique scent of 2 wick candles, and $5 of every sale is donated to The Butterfly Fund and East TN Children’s Hospital.
The Butterfly Fund of East TN: Raising Awareness of Childhood Cancer
The Butterfly Fund was created by the families of two beautiful little girls whose lives were tragically cut short by a rare form of childhood cancer in 2008. The Butterfly Fund is dedicated to supporting research and treatment to defeat childhood cancer.
The facts about childhood cancer are staggering:
- More than 40,000 children undergo cancer treatment every year.
- Each year, 13,500 children are diagnosed with cancer.
- 36 children are diagnosed with cancer every single day.
- Cancer kills more children in the United States than any other disease.
- Of those who survive childhood cancer, 3 out of 5 suffer with long lasting effects like infertility, heart failure, and other cancers.
This is why the Butterfly Fund continues their work. To date, they’ve raised more than $1 million and given $500,000 to organizations here in Eastern Tennessee. Grow is excited to support this incredible cause.
